Full-time short-term research positions in Finland for Master's/Ph.D. students or postdocs
The Helsinki Institute for Information Technology (HIIT) looking for Master's/Ph.D. students or postdoctoral scholars interested in carrying out socio-technical research on privacy and security, for a period of 3-6 months. Possible research topics include: usable privacy/security, social media privacy/security, privacy-enhancing technologies, privacy in healthcare. The research is expected to generate publications at top tier conferences and journals in human computer interaction, privacy, and security. Supporting a Master's thesis and/or a small piece within a doctoral dissertation is also possible.
Applications are welcome from those in technical as well as social sciences, including but not limited to: computer science, information science, informatics, information systems, psychology, sociology, or communication.
This position is part of the Future Networks, Society and Modeling (FuNeSoMo) project, built on the existing collaboration between Aalto University & Tekes in Finland and International Computer Science Institute (http://www.icsi.berkeley.edu/) & University of California, Berkeley in the USA. Salary will be based on the candidate's qualifications and set according to the salary scales of Aalto University.
